Ifmsa general assemblies

IFMSA General Assemblies are among the biggest youth-led events around the world. Held twice a year – once in March, once in August – they are attended by over 800 medical students from 100+ countries!

Hope to inspire the next generation of future physicians to become leaders and advocates through the exchange of ideas, networking and learning from the various programming sessions. They feature namely: meetings of each Standing Committee; governance and decision-making sessions; training opportunities for self-skills development; inspiring activities and projects presentations.

August Meeting 2023 – Delhi, India

IFMSA August Meeting 2023 General Assembly was held in Delhi, India.

Our delegation attended the GA and during that time they gained useful knowledge about various important topics and interacted with medical students worldwide. They represented our organization perfectly.

Pre GA

Two of our members @t0uk0 and @mel_theod attended the pre GA trainings. During TMET and TNHRT our members gained useful knowledge regarding human rights and medical education matters.

After the GA our delegation got the chance to discover India’s culture even more. They explored local markets, tried Indian food and visited remarkable places like Taj Mahal.

March Meeting 2023 – Tallinn, Estonia

IFMSA MM23, was held in Tallinn, Estonia. During the 72nd General Assembly of IFMSΑ, 14 members of our association represented the Medical Students of Cyprus. During these days CyMSA members attended SCOME, SCORE, SCORA, SCORP, SCOPE, SCOPH, NMO Management and Presidents’ Sessions.

During the Sessions our delegation had the opportunity to learn more about medical education systems, sexual healthcare and adolescents and they even received useful advice on SCORE activation strategies. March Meeting 2023 was for sure an unforgettable experience for the whole Cypriot delegation of CyMSA!

March Meeting 2020 – Kigali, Rwanda

During the GA, 8 members of our association represented the medical students of Cyprus to the 69th General assembly of IFMSA in Kigali, Rwanda. During these days, more than 1000 medical students had the opportunity to participate in:

Sessions: Interesting topics regarding public health, human rights and peace, sexual health, medical education, exchanges, soft skills, NMO management e.t.c. were discussed.
Theme event: The theme event was dedicated to the role of primary healthcare in achieving Universal Health Coverage.
Plenaries: Many policies and decisions were discussed and voted.
Exchanges & Activities fair: All countries had the opportunity to present their programs.
We are really happy that 8 members of our association had the opportunity to live this experience!!

March Meeting 2019 – Portoroz, Slovenia

The 68th Medical Student’s General Assembling, that took place in Portoroz in Slovenia, has come to an end a week ago, leaving behind beautiful and unforgettable memories.
Medical Students from all over the world, had the opportunity to live a unique and memorable experience. The Cypriot Delegation of CyMSA was there to represent, the Medical Students from all of the Universities of Cyprus.
