ifmsa – european regional meetings
The Regional Meetings take place every year in each IFMSA Region and are hosted by at least one NMO from the respective region. Usually, the European Regional Meeting takes place in April.
Just like the General Assemblies, the Regional Meetings are usually preceded by a pre-Regional Meeting, which are 3 days of workshops that go along with the specific needs and priorities of the regions.
EuRegMe 2022 – PORTUGAL
The European Regional Meeting of 2022 was held in Portugal. That specific GA was really important for CyMSA. Why? Because, Exchanges fair of the European Regional meeting featured CyMSA SCOPE for the first time. At this point, we should acknowledge and appreciate the efforts of the NEOs of the terms that put hard work, dedication and “meraki” in achieving it. If it wasn’t for you, SCOPE activation would still be a dream while is now a reality. Now the members of CyMSA can enjoy the privilege of having clinical practice placements (exchanges) around the globe and gain experiences that they will cherish for life. So it’s time to celebrate this leveling up step. Cheers to making it to this point and cheers to the rest to come.
EuRegMe 2018 – RUSSIA
Europeal Regional Meeting of 2018 was held in St. Petersburg, Russia. The meeting comprised of more than 40 European countries, each with their own delegation.
We successfully represented the interests of the Republic of Cyprus with a delegation of three select individuals. Addressing several topics of importance, the European member states voted to have mental health and health workforce as the two top priorities for the European Region for the year 2018, and on having Lithuania host the EuRegMe 2020.
