Public Health (SCOPH)
The Standing Committee on Public Health (SCOPH) unites medical students worldwide to learn, share ideas, and develop skills to address public health challenges. Its objectives include disease prevention, health promotion, raising awareness of global health issues, advocating for policies, building future healthcare professionals’ capacities, collaborating internationally with public health organizations, and working across fields such as medical education, human rights, and reproductive health. Through these efforts, SCOPH empowers students to contribute meaningfully to the improvement of health systems and the wellbeing of communities around the world.
Mission
Medical Students attain the optimal skills and knowledge to contribute to their full potential towards the making of healthier communities in their capacity as medical students and as future healthcare providers.
Vision
The Standing Committee on Public Health promotes the development of medical students worldwide regarding Public Health issues through an international sharing knowledge network, projects management, community-based learning, capacity building, advocacy, exchanges placements and access to external learning opportunities.

As National Public Health Officer of CyMSA, I am passionate about promoting prevention, awareness, and community engagement. Through collaborative actions and student involvement, I aim to transform public health knowledge into meaningful impact while empowering medical students to actively contribute to a healthier society.
