Dear CyMSA members,
I am excited to announce the launch of CyMSA’s Policy Document Course.
CyMSA’s Policy Document Course was developed to capacitate our members on the advocacy method of Policy Documents.
Policy Documents are documents created by organizations to provide evidence on a topic that concerns society, find areas for improvement and call external organisations to action.
In the context of CyMSA, Policy Documents are a set of guidelines, statements and strategies on public health issues and are in alignment with CyMSA’s Vision and Mission and its Constitution and Bylaws. They guide our internal and external activities during the period they are active. The policy document course covers all necessary topics for engagement with advocacy efforts and particularly policy documents. It is comprised of 6 modules on the topics of CyMSA’s Policy procedure, literature review, problem identification, stakeholder mapping, policy writing and solution formation. At the end of each module there is an assignment aimed to evaluate understanding and application of the knowledge. It is also the evaluation of successful completion of the course leading to receiving certificate. The Course is self paced and the estimated time for completion is 1-2 weeks for an allocated 1 hour of daily workload.
Warning: AI utilization will be evaluated before providing certificates.
Members that want to get involved in advocacy efforts within CyMSA and more specifically would be interested in being members of a Small Working Group working on a Policy Document should complete the course.
Any member completing the course successfully will get a certificate. You can access the course here.
